“My daughter has been attending TVSH for the past few years, and we couldn't be happier! She started in Senior Kindergarten and has had a wonderful learning experience in both the Kindergarten and Primary Learning classrooms. All of the teachers are truly exceptional. They are kind, conscious, and supportive not only in academics but also in nurturing the students' social-emotional development. The small class sizes offer students meaningful opportunities to explore their unique passions and interests. I also love how connected the school is to the local Hespeler community. They provide rich, hands-on learning experiences by partnering with local businesses. For example, they've done cooking classes at Choun Kitchen and have had lessons on the human body from Vitality Village. The school’s location is ideal, allowing for regular visits to the Ideea Exchange Hespeler library, community centre, and Forbes Park, including the splash pad on warm summer days! I would highly recommend The Village School House to any family seeking an alternative, child-centered educational experience. It's truly an amazing place!”

“I am very grateful for The Village Schoolhouse. My daughter started attending in Junior Kindergarten and will be completing her Grade 1 year soon. Over that time I have witnessed her confidence, learning and self-assuredness grow. She enjoys going to school each day, looks forward to it and loves her teachers and classmates.”

“I found The Village Schoolhouse in Cambridge at a time when my child was deeply struggling. We were seeking help from all angles with no success. His learning was being impacted by being in an unsupportive and under stimulating environment for much of his weekdays. I contacted the Village Schoolhouse who immediately assured me they could find ways to engage my son and ensure his learning would be supported. We quickly booked a tour and were so thrilled to meet teachers who were kind, welcoming, gentle, patient , and understanding. The staff have been able to give my son the devoted attention he needed. We almost instantly saw a dramatic decrease in challenging behaviour (at school and at home). He went from needing to be peeled away from us at a previous centre and crying at drop off, to walking happily into school and not turning back. We have noticed a tremendous increase in knowledge and patience. My son quickly learned things like how to communicate his feelings, how to write his name, and how to transition from an activity he loves. I cannot summarize the difference this school has made in our family life and I will forever be grateful. I credit getting through quite a difficult time to each individual who works at The Village Schoolhouse”

"Our daughter started at The Village Schoolhouse last year and the growth we’ve seen in her socially, emotionally, and academically has been amazing. In Senior Kindergarten, she’s not just playing or memorizing the alphabet. She’s exploring, asking questions, and making connections to the world around her. The educators are so intentional and kind, and it’s clear they genuinely care about who she is as a person. She comes home excited to share what she’s learned and proud of her accomplishments. As a parent, it’s wonderful to know she’s in a place where she’s both nurtured and challenged. We feel lucky to have found this gem in Cambridge."

"We’ve been part of The Village Schoolhouse community since preschool, and now that my son is in grade 1, we continue to be so grateful for this place. Watching him grow into a confident, curious, and interested learner has been incredible. What stands out the most is how deeply the teachers know and care about him. What first attracted us to this program is the hands-on learning, focus on creativity and real-world skills which do not stop after kindergarten. But what has kept us here is the strong sense of community and safe environment where he is excited to learn, and be proud of who he is. As parents, we feel supported and connected, and we can’t imagine a better place for our child to thrive."
